Wildlife photography is a core passion. I hope to encourage people to connect with wildlife in their immediate vicinity. Across the United States, particularly in the West, we have incredible access to (relatively) intact ecosystems through our public lands system and private conservation efforts. These lands support tremendous wildlife, and they can be close to where we live.

My photography focuses primarily on carnivores, both mammalian and avian. Cats are the coolest creatures I have found in CO so far, though I am happy to photograph all wildlife. My current aim is to document mountain lions in the foothills of Boulder County and map their territories. The mountain lions below are courting—note the size difference at the end. My ultimate goal is to take high-quality, in-person photographs of a local lion. To do this, I use camera traps to learn their regular haunts, track and trail them, and learn everything I can about their habits and whereabouts. Apparently, mountain lions are really sneaky and hard to photograph—a pursuit of a lifetime.
