Wildlife photography is a core passion. I hope to encourage people to connect with wildlife in their immediate vicinity. My current focus is on documenting mountain lions in the foothills of Boulder County and mapping their territories. The mountain lion below is smelling a “scrape,” which are widely used by lions to mark territories and communicate. My ultimate goal is to take high-quality, in-person photographs of a local lion. To accomplish this, I am using camera traps to learn their regular haunts, tracking and trailing, and learning everything I can about their habits and whereabouts.
